You are so right on, we are truly guilty of minimizing God in the U.S. We get too busy to give God the first part of our day, or even the first part of our week. We try to take charge of our universe with doing it all by ourselves and not involving God in our plans, decisions or even in the details of our daily lives.
Also, It does bother me that the separation of church and state is really be said to Christians. I was told that I could not have a Christmas tree in my classroom in a school that was 99% Christian and 1% Moslem so we would not offend them, but what about tolerance of the Christian religion or the rights of Christians?

Good word, young Ron. The tension you mention sounds like good spiritual exercise. I been out of circulation because of a foot operation and to tell you the truth... there is even that necessary tension here within my four walls! Since I love reading and music and people...and most of all His Presence. My book reading has been marvelous! Florida is very nice in winter...was "stationed" there for 11 years! Hope to see you soon.
