God & Government Course

July 6th, 2009 No comments

I know of few topics which can generate more controversy than that of the proper relationship between the Church and the State.

Should Christians be involved in politics?

What is the role of the Church, if any, in shaping public policy?

Living Stones is a “Kingdom” church. This means we believe God has given us a mandate to reform all spheres of society by bring the principles of God’s kingdom to bear on human problems. This mandate most certainly includes the realm of civil government.

Our goal in this course is to explore the proper relationship between God and the State using the Scriptures as our starting point.

My hope is that each of you will have a clearer understanding of the vital role you play, as disciples of Christ, in impacting this vitally important institution.

The course will meet during the month of August on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 – 9:30 in Room #14 at the Crown Point Campus.

If interested, sign up this Sunday at the Welcome Center.
